Our inquiry topic this term is identity. We have been learning lots about ourselves and we have learnt that even though we are all different and unique, we make a pretty great team.

Yesterday, we played a game called headbands and worked in teams to try and help each other guess them name of the famous person that was stuck to our heads.

It was really challenging because we were only aloud to answer questions that require a 'yes' or 'no' answer.

Check out Hansen Class! Every Thursday we have a basketball session with coach Malek and we have learnt so many fantastic skills.

This week we learnt how to shoot the ball into the hoop and we uses the letters B.E.E.F to help us remember the steps.

          B - Balance
          E - Elbows bent
          E - Eyes on the hoop
          F - Follow through

One thing we all found challenging is focusing on the ball while someone was trying to get it of us. We have learnt that if we are resilient and stay focused, we can do it!

This week in Hansen Class, we have all been respectful, responsible and resilient learners. In our classroom we can earn Dojo points for showing the Hay Park Way and this week we reached 500 points as a class! On Friday we all had ice blocks to celebrate our fantastic teamwork!

Our class is named after New Zealand artist Shane Hansen. In the holidays, Ms Campbell went to one of his exhibitions and purchased a print of one of his pieces of art. On Thursday, we were lucky enough to see it! We are really excited to learn more about our artist this term! - Hansen Class
