Swimming at Cameron Pools

Kia Ora Bloggers,

This term we have swimming lessons every Tuesday and Thursday. During the first lesson, we got split into our groups. Our instructors are Yash, Conor, Courtney and sometimes Rachell.
Our first lesson was all about water safety and how to be safe in water. On Thursday, our second lesson, we learned how to float on our backs and glide without kicking. We also learned to swim on our backs and kick during gliding. After that we had to glide through a hula hoop and try to find some rubber rings. We had lots of fun and we can't wait until our next lesson!

The Human Chain!

Kia Ora Everyone!

This week in Hansen class we moved the stuff from our old resource room to our new resource room. The clever teachers came up with an idea to put all the books and things to our new resource room. The brilliant idea they came up with was a…. Human chain! First the senior classes met up in the hall. Mrs Archer explained what we were going to do. Then we walked down class by class forming a line from the old resource room to the new one. After that we passed all of the boxes of books down the line until it came to the new resource room. Some of the children were tired but we were still eager to put all the stuff into the resource room. The only hard thing was the stuff came so fast that some people dropped it! Overall I think the idea of a human chain was great and I think the most efficient way.
