This term we have been learning about oral hygiene and how important it is to brush our teeth! Many people think that brushing your teeth twice a day is enough to combat bacteria so we decided to put this theory to the test!We worked in teams to take a swab of someones mouth, and added the swab to a petrie dish. The same person then brushed their teeth and took another sample to add to the dish.
When this was done, we talked about other places around the school and collected some more samples - some people even swabbed the toilet seat!
Our samples are tucked away in a warm spot so that the bacteria can grow - stay tuned to see the results....
